Pick of the berries
If you want fussy children to eat eggs, fruit and cream turn them into ice cream. Raspberries make a particularly good one (Michael Roux rates it as one of his top ten desserts. You can find his recipe in Michel Roux Desserts, Wedienfeld & Nicholson, £4.99). It's rich in colour and flavour, though to grown up palates perhaps not quite as delicious as raspberries picked just before supper and seved with clotted cream.
