Strawberry Recipe
Tossed Spring Greens featuring Well-Pict Strawberries
Ingredients:
Salad 6 cups mixed baby greens 1 1/2 cups Well-Pict strawberries, quartered lengthwise 1/4 cup pecans, toasted 1/3 cup bleu cheese
Dressing 1 tbsp shallots, minced 1/2 tsp dijon mustard 2 tbsp champagne vinegar 1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar 1/3 cup olive oil Kosher salt and ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
Put baby greens in large mixing bowl. Set aside. Put strawberries, pecans, and bleu cheese in separate bowls and set aside for easy assembly.
To prepare the dressing:
In a bowl, whisk together the shallots, mustard, and vinegars. While whisking, slowly add the olive oil until the dressing is thick and emulsified. Season to taste with kosher salt and ground black pepper.
To assemble the salads: Toss dressing with baby greens and arrange on 4 to 6 individual salad plates. Top decoratively with the strawberries and pecans, and sprinkle with bleu cheese. Serve immediately.
