Pauleys Supplier Award Winners Announced

Pauleys Supplier Award Winners Announced Wellpict European, the quality soft fruit specialists, is pleased to announce that they won the coveted Supplier of the Year Award 2007.

Pauleys Supplier Award Winners Announced

The winners of Pauleys Supplier Awards 2007 have been announced, aimed to reward the fruit and vegetable suppliers who have really excelled themselves over the last year.  Over 40 national suppliers attended to see who would be awarded these prestigious industry awards.

Wellpict European, the quality soft fruit specialists, is pleased to announce that they won the coveted Supplier of the Year Award 2007.  This award recognised the outstanding contribution in all areas of the supply chain and service that Wellpict European proudly achieves day in day out for the Pauleys and Brakes businesses.  It was also in recognition of the support that Wellpict European gave in implementing the Brakes / Pauley’s local campaign, as well as our continuous outstanding support, loyalty and service.  Wellpict European was also commended for our new packaging, as we managed to reduce packaging usage by 9 tonnes on cardboard and plastic alone.  We have also been involved with the Pauleys Freshness project and have developed a quicker route to customer on berries, enabling a world-class supply chain to be developed.

Carol Ford, Sales and Marketing Director, commented, “this award recognises the extra mile that Wellpict European goes in serving all of our customers, ensuring that our offer to each and every customer is as bespoke as they are.  It also demonstrates the great team effort, led by Andy Izzard our Sales Manager for the Pauleys business, and how important each and every member of the team is in delivering outstanding service.  Wellpict European is one of the unique businesses within both the soft-fruit category and fresh produce industry in that we are proud to be a grower owned business, where growers are as much part of the team as the marketing desk.  This has been clearly demonstrated in some of the project work that has been undertaken with the Pauleys business this year, as I don’t believe the results would have been as remarkable if the growers had not been involved.  We intend to try to demonstrate on our day-to-day business that a fair deal for is available to not only our customers but our growers as well.  Only by achieving this week in week out will we ensure that we have a growing and sustainable business model for the future.  Led by quality, in all that we do, and continuous improvement our job is to ensure that we strive to improve in our everyday dealings within our supply chain for the benefit of our customers and growers”.

Please feel free to contact us should you wish to discuss your future needs and requirements, either grower or customers.
