As part of the Well-Pict / AMS Group, AMS European is one of the youngest businesses within our corporate family. Operating from offices and cold store on the important Rungis market site near Paris our aim is to supply French customers with Premium "exotic" fruis. Catering to the needs of both Supermarkets and wholesale markets around the country, AMS European imports Avocados, Cherries, Mangoes and Strawberries from as far away as Chile and certain stone fruits from Australia and new Zealand.

Founded on the principle of providing the finest produce to consumers through out the country, we are involved in growing, packaging, processing and marketing a wide range of premium vegetables and fruits. AMS European is a partnership between AMS Exotic and Antoine Fauger, who has been buying fruits and vegetables from AMS Exotic for the past ten years.

AMS European operates within a nice in the market sourcing fruit which is often from distances far away, and which can often be hard to find - for example because it is out of season. Subsequently we do not sell French cherries, but in fact we import the latest Tasmanian cherries in february, or the very earliest Californian cherries in April, which then get sold to the few specialist wholesalers in France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

It is this commitment to sourcing hard to find produce, and catering for specialist needs within the industry that sets AMS European apart from the competition. Coupled with our specialist packing capabilities, such as switching from a normal 5kg cherry box to a 2kg box, and it is clear that we stand out from the crowd.

Early 2006 saw us move to an office above a specialist warehouse which is within the Zone Des entrepots in Rungis market, allowing us and our customers to see what is being purchased and sold from all within the same site. This ensures that we are better able to cater for our customers needs, whilst ensuring that stock levels are constantly being monitored. It is partly as a result of this integrated service that ensured AMS European are forward thinking in our approach to soft fruit sales and marketing.

Plans for the future include capitalising on supermarket sales through our new venture alongside Well-Pict European France, in which we are making use of proven marketing techniques, as demonstrated by Well-Pict European UK in order to further demonstrate our strategies as different from other berry handlers in France.
