What about Prophet in SA?

Well Pict European has been using the system PR2 since April 2003. At the end of October WPE director Aurel Voiculescu and Mark Peachy (Prophet Plc) paid a visit to Well Pict European SA to see if it was viable to install the system there. Christ charter (WPE SA) believes that the integrated stock management system and ability to accurately cost will be able to take WPE SA to the next level, he also believes it will give them a competitive edge with their customers as the system is based around traceability. The system will allow WPE SA to provide growers with actual costs opposed to averages and estimates. This transparency will help to promote confidence in WPE SA from its growers. Aurel Voiculescu will support WPE SA in the UK, "the PR2 system will improve the flow of information between WPE partners, and total traceability as well as constant developmeng which will bring our South African operations to a very high standard".

WET SA & Hygrotech

Well Pict European Tunnels marketing strategy within the UK and European Markets, which has proved to be phenomenally successful, is being duplicated in South Africa. WET SA has established a working relationship with Hygrotech SA, the leading seed supplier in South Africa. The relationship is already proving fruitful and they expect it to go from strength to strenght.

Since manufacturing moved to Europe, all steelwork and polythene for SA sales are sourced from the factory in Portugal, with the ancillay equipment being sourced locally.
