Tunnel Rental: All your questions answered.
Benefits to you: Financial - Instead of a big capital outlay at the befinning of the season, this option will offset the cost through regular monthly payments. This will allow you to manage your cash flow better.
Installation and removal - We undertake to install and remove structures at your convenience. Supply all the labour, installation equipment and expertise. Thus allowing you to concentrate on planning the season ahead and not to worry about tunnel construction.
Risk - Our customers will carry no risk regarding the weather related damage to the structures. We do however ask you do manage the tunnels on our behalf in certain weather conditions.
maintenance - We undertake to be on standy, any time of the day if maintenance needs to be done and carry a full range of spares.
Installation and removal - Although we udnertake to do all the necessary installation, the cost of this is not worked into the mntly cost and is treated as a seperate costs for the customers account. Naturally we do guarantee that the job will be done in a certain time period and at a certain cost. In the event that it takes longer than the agreed time we will carry the extra cost involved. You do have the option of uding your own labour force, in which case we require one of our own people on hand to operate the equipment and give you advice where needed. Please keep in mid that the cost involved in constructing the structures would have been incurred in any case if the structures were purchased outright.
Structures - we require a minimum of 0.4ha/1 acre to be covered to qualify for the rental option. You have a choice of 6.5m or 8m standard "Spanish style" tunnels, with other types of tunnels to follow soon. We do realise that in certain areas there will be a need for extra windy protection and we are certainly willing to accommodate any specific needs.
polythene - As everyone has specific requirements when it comes to polythene, the rent only covers the structures and not the polythene covering. there are three reasons for keeping the polythene a seperate cost:
1 - We realise that you may have specific requirements regarding polythene and may have preference to a certain type or make.
2 - Once cut to a specific length to suit your field, it would be difficult for us to reuse that specific piece in following seasons.
3 - The process of covering the structures is very dependant on the right wind conditions. It will be impractical and expensive to keep a team on site, waiting for the right conditions.
We can however assist you in your choice of covering.
Rental period - Our minimum rental period is 7 months. You will only start paying as soon as construction is complete.
Your options:
1 - If you decide to rent the tunnels for more than one season, the structure can stay in place on your property without removing it. Thre pre-agreed rental period will end when the polythene covering it taken down at the end of the season and will only start when the structures are recovered the following season, OR
2 - You also have the option of purchasing the structure as a second hand tunnel at the completion of the first season. This is an option we are very excited about and I would like to take the time to discuss it in broader detail:
The purchasing of second hand tunnels:
To better explain this option I would like to take a typical example of one hectare, rented for an 8 month period. As seen in the pricing breakdown this option will cost you £898 pervmonth, meaning a total payable of £7184 on the rental of the tunnel. If you decide to purchase the tunnel after the first season, this amount will simply be deducted from the original selling price, which is in the region of £14,000. You can then purchase your second hand tunnel for the balance amount of £6816 for the coming season. This eases your cash flow and you can take ownership of the tunnel from season two. it is also worth bearing in mind that you secure the previous seasons selling price and you can sit back and watch how everything is done.
Cost - The pricing structure has been carefully calculated, and we believe is a true reflection of the costs involved with the purchaseing and construction of Spanish style tunnels.
